Building Plans Copy Request
Use the forms below to request copies of blueprints and building plans. Original building plans must be copied off site, and only with an approved vendor that follows the Archives’ guidelines. There is a $50.00 handling fee payable to New Orleans Public Library that must be completed with us before contacting a reproduction vendor. You will be responsible for the reproduction vendor’s fees, and you must request a digital copy from them in addition to any other copies. The digital copy must be supplied to the Archives once complete.
Building plans that are available on microfilm can be digitally scanned by researchers who visit the Archives in person at no charge. Archives staff may make copies of these plans for a fee. Plans will only be scanned in full, Archives staff will not review materials.
Fee: $50 handling fee for off-site scanning of original plans.
$2 per page for microfilmed plans
Payment may be made in person or online.
Please use the Index to Building Plans to determine if your building plan is held by City Archives & Special Collections and whether it is available on microfilm. Plans with un-prefixed filing numbers of 450 or lower are on microfilm under call number KJG620. All other plans must be viewed in-person and you must arrange for off-site scanning.
