Materials Request Guidelines

Materials should be requested prior to your visit by emailing archivist@nolalibrary.org.

Staff are able retrieve a reasonable number of items at a time per a researcher.  Additional items can be pulled once the first set is complete.

Materials that have not been processed are unavailable for research.

Original Materials

Provide:

  • Collection name
  • Date(s) of materials
  • Series
  • Box number
  • Folder Title and/or number
  • Link to the finding aid 
Finding Aids

Blueprints/Plans

Provide:

  • File Number
  • Address
  • Date
  • Name of Building
  • Other available information
Index

Digital Materials

Items that have been digitized are closed for research and can be viewed online.

Can be requested on-site or a large number can be requested in advance
