Burial Records

The amount of information given varies widely from cemetery to cemetery, as does the organization of the records.  In general, researchers using these records can expect to find information such as dates of death and interment, cause of death, age, sex, and marital status. For some series, information on ownership of lots or tombs is also available. There is no comprehensive index to New Orleans cemeteries.
