New Orleans Fire Department
Fire Department records may inform property research in several ways. If you suspect that an earlier structure on a lot was destroyed by fire, these records could provide confirmation. Fire reports might also describe partial fire damage to a building, something that might be useful to an understanding of the resultant repairs. Administrative records track the activities of the department, as well as changes to the fire districts.
